The 70's Vibe

What I wore: Pants-thrifted from Goodwill Smyrna | Shirt-American Eagle | Shoes-Jessica Simpson | Rings & Earrings-DIYs | Bracelet-SEEN Global | Necklace-old thrift

I call it a 70s vibe...maybe tribal...I really don't know what to call these pants [maybe even plazzo pants I really am stumped]except my new LOVES! I got them from Goodwill Smyrna [my new place to shop]. They practically fell in my lap and I really liked the pattern from first sight. They are sooo comfortable and the flow-ness of the pants when I walk make me feel powerful. Like I am walking into a really important meeting...even it is just class. The ring and earrings are DIYs from yesteryear that I tried to post from my phone. I may have to retire my JSims though...they are falling apart. Sadness.
What's your favorite thrifted item so far?!!

Hiking in Oxfords

Lake Allatuna

What I wore: Demin Button Up-American Eagle | Stripped Top-Delia's | Jeans-old | Belt-old thrift | Oxfords-Wanted

Ring from House of Adrene Boutique

Friday I went hiking...yes full on hiking...with a fellow intern. In oxfords. Wouldn't suggest doing that but I really enjoyed the fresh air and being in nature. Brought me back to my Girl Scouts days...we even sang camp songs as we walked. I couldn't help but capture the world God created through my lens. Next time we go, I will insist on changing though. I got rocks and all sorts of goodies in my oxfords...and my poor feet were NOT happy with me after that 2 hour hike. Yup TWO hours...but at least I looked cute.

Swagg Bag Sadness

Charee of Chareelenee

What I wore: Blazer-thrifted from Goodwill Smyrna | Tank-old | Necklace-thrifted [don't remember where | Jeans-Gap | Headscarf-thrifted | Watch-Michael Kors

A DVF 'fit that caught my eye

Last week Thursday was a night to remember! I planned to go to Phipps Plaza for free Fashion's Night Out Swagg Bags and to the see all the stores that were having events for the night [but mainly I went for the swagg bag]. I told my friends about it and it became a Girl's Night! We met up and waited for the clock to strike 6pm...and then we were disappointed. Not to be rude...but a swagg bag with a Wedding Planner and some coupons for 2-3 stores in Phipps was not what I expected. No samples, no free nothing. Buuuut, the night was not lost. We had tons of fun getting our makeup done at Jeffery Atlanta by artists from Woo Makeup Boutique. And I loved the lipstick my artist, Tracey, used. YSL bright red lipstick...love, love, love! Then Nordstorm's really made our night with free yummy food and red carpet to snap pics on! All in all, I really did have fun perusing the stores in Phipps knowing that I couldn't really afford anything but my FNO tshirt. Annnd the night did not end there...

My First Time

As the Fashionistas you all are...you know that Fashion's Night Out was this past week. Over 30 cities participated in the kickoff of New York's Fashion Week. And of course, Atlanta's most fashionable attended events all over the city from Atlantic Station to Midtown. I got to experience my FIRST fashion show last Tuesday. Let me say, I had no idea what I was missing out on! Thanks to a Fashionable Atlanta email, I got a fashionably late ticket for the Betsey Johnson runway show. It was really cool! I met up with Charee and Jai. The W Hotel was transformed into a chic New York-esque setting. I almost felt like I was in New York during fashion week. Too fun!

What I wore: Old skirt | New York & Company shirt | Tights via TJ Maxx | Bakers pump | Gifted earrings | Michael Kors watch

I loved this dress!

Yup. That is Derek J. With the hosts/emcees for the night.

A few of the vendors
These are just a few of my captures of the night...there were so many pieces and the clothes were auh-MAZING! Each and every model worked the runway something fierce. Let's just say I will never forget my first time...glad I had the chance to experience it because it was a great kickoff to Fashion's Night Out Atlanta!

Keep bustin out & experiencing new things!
