Learning to Sew

I have a sewing machine and I don't remember how to use it. I hate to admit this but it's true but I found a place in town that has learn-to-sew classes. It's my birthday gift from my mom because she always wanted to me to be able to sew, hem, and replace buttons, and I got to agree: it's an important skill to have nowadays. I could now be able to fix something up that I thrifted or if a button falls off of a jacket, I could fix it. Or the thing I'm most excited about to take away from these classes is garment construction so I can make my own clothes...now I have this fabric and if I could sketch I would pretend to be a fashion designer

  1. Oh man...I so wish I could sew. I agree being a thrifter it is a great skill to have. I couldn't count how many beauties I turned down because it needed a little tailoring. I may take a class one day.

  2. This is so off topic.. but, I love your hair! I have been natural for 7 years but, wore sew in and now I'm rocking me for the first time. Question? What do you use to maintain your curl and style. BTW, I think you could do a whole blog on natural hair! Love the outfits!!
