Ever seen an outfit and thought if I could only recreate that same outfit, I would?
Well I had that same thought run through my head a couple of times Thursday night when I saw Kristen of Lily Kai Vintage. She looked chic in leopard and sequins...and that was just the top! She completed the outfit with cropped black pants and sleek black heels. In a word: gorgeous!
I complimented her on her outfit success and immediately began plotting on how I could recreate her outfit in some way. Now I don't have a leopard sequined top and I couldn't buy one since I gave up shopping for Lent (yes it's true...crazy but true). But I did have a sequin pullover that I bought from her lovely store...and I did have black cropped pants I bought from New York and Company when I worked there some time ago. Any fashionable lady has more than pair of black heels, so it was just merely picking out the right pair.
Of course, the day I decide to wear it my copy cat outfit it was kinda chilly. I had to throw on a sweater, so in a way I gave a creative spin on Kristen's superb outfit. So really, I'm not a copy cat after all. Well, that's what I'll continue to tell myself anyways.
What I busted out in:
Pullover: LVK | Pants: NY&Co | Sweater: thrifted from Ecologie | Shows: Bakers

Socials, Vintage, and Wine
I was super busy last week; from attending the bad ass magazine launch party for Adrienne Gadling and Sadiddy magazine at House of Adrene, to attending Katice Mines of My Vicarious Life's sophisticated second anniversary party for her blog, and ending the week with Mattie James of Mattieologie and Kristin Henderson of Lily Kai Vintage for Vintage and Vino. Who doesn't love ending the week with fellowship, laughs, and good wine?!
I have been off the radar for awhile and last week was the BEST way to be reintroduced to my blogger friends and parties. It was like I never left. Big smiles and hugs greeted me at every event, along with easy conversation.
Thursday night was the second anniversary for Katice's blog My Vicarious Life at the Loft of Castleberry Hill. The venue was elegant as was the food selection. As with every fashion event, the fashionistas in attendance looked fabulous! But this night was more inspirational (at least for me). I walked away with new connections and advice to last a lifetime! I was impressed with what each woman in the building had to offer, how she carried herself, and how well the conversation flowed.
What to say about Friday?! Laughs, wine, and shopping. You should get the picture. Mattie and Kristen were the hostesses with the most(est) as they keep the gab going and the wine flowing! It was too much fun...and since I gave up shopping for Lent (yeah I know) I did my best not to shop. I almost bought a sequined skirt that was only $10, but I succeeded in my sacrifice and released it back into the atmosphere.
Thursday: Thrifted dress from Goodwill and F21 blazer. Wedges from TJ Maxx
Friday: Top from Francesca's Collection and jeans from Rue 21. Booties from Sole Society and thrifted clutch.

Sadiddy Magazine Launch
I had the HONOR of being in attendance for the Sadiddy Magazine, the brain child of the lovely Adrienne, launch at House of Adrene last night. I checked in and grabbed my "I am Sadiddy" and "Bad Never Looked This Good" pins, and proceeded to put my name in the fishbowl for raffle prizes. I've only won something at these kind of events once before, so I wasn't expecting anything.
What I did appreciate was the wonderful hors d'oeuvres from fruit kabobs, to cake pops, and cheesecake bites. Drinks served up by Bar Savvy, the stylish atmosphere, and assortment of beautiful people (cue Chris Brown's house hit Beautiful People) made for a night of mingling and creative conversation.
One topic of conversation were the models styled by Adrene. The ladies looked regal and sadiddy, posing in inspiring outfits, gave the audience a look at the many sides of a Sadiddy woman. It's not a bad thing to be Sadiddy either, it's being confident in who you are as a woman and not being afraid to show it.
What I busted out in: Blazer & tank: F21 | skirt & necklace: thrifted | belt: New York & company | Pumps: Steve Madden | watch: Michael Kors
I had a fun time as always...oh and I won some fly ass earrings! I was so excited! Fun times of a Sadiddy woman...what makes you Sadiddy?
